Free Paint available for eligible City homeowners
Warmer weather signals the start of many things – one of which is the City of Kansas City, Mo., Paint Program.
“This program gives eligible homeowners, who do the required work to properly prepare a home to be painted, high-quality exterior paint at no cost,” said Bob Jackson, manager of the Property Preservation Division of the Housing and Community Development Program.”
Eligible applicants must complete an application to receive paint, primer, caulking and other supplies related to the painting of their home (total cost of the paint supplies will not exceed $500). Applicants must:
- Live in Kansas City, Mo.
- Own and live in the property to be painted
- Own only one property
- Meet the following household income guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Housing
and Urban Development:
One person $39,400
