Neighborhoods and Housing Services Department hosts Neighborhood Leaders Roundtable Meeting
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Neighborhoods and Housing Services Department will host its second quarterly Neighborhood Leaders Roundtable Meeting.
The meeting will be held at the Hillcrest Community Center, 10401 Hillcrest Road, on Thursday, Jan. 24 from 5-8 p.m. Free parking is available on the south side of the building.
The purpose of the meeting is to:
• Deliver a forum that encourages collaboration and the sharing of ideas
• Improve neighborhood livability
• Enhance public awareness of existing City services and programs
• Offer neighborhood leaders an opportunity to dialogue with City staff
The meeting will focus on the newly-designed Neighborhoods and Housing Services’ Web pages and a presentation by Neighborhood Preservation on the illegal dump camera initiative. Following the presentations, there will be roundtable discussion on combating illegal dumping facilitated by members of the Kansas City Neighborhood Advisory Council. A light meal will be served on a first come, first served basis from 5-6 p.m.
