FIFTH DISTRICT NEWS

Highlights from the 5th District Residents Meeting on
November 5th includes:

• Lots of investment going on in the 5th District.,
which includes the Target Green project.

• Redistricting—the map is very close to going to the
entire City Council for a vote.

• The City was awarded an EPA Reuse Grant on November 4th for the project at the former Municipal Farm, which will cleanup the brownfields
in that area and revitalize it for reuse.

There were several guests in attendance, including Mia Ward from Neighborhood Preservation, Kendra Mosley Ayuk from Legal Aid and Roosevelt Lyons, the Mayor’s Special Assistant for Community Affairs.

These meetings are held on a quarterly basis, and are
hosted by 5th District Councilman Michael Brooks and
5th District At-Large Councilwoman Cindy Circo.
Everyone is invited to attend.
