Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund workshops
Applications for 2012-13 fiscal year funding are due Oct. 15
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund is hosting its annual informational workshop. If you are interested in applying for reimbursable grants through the NTDF program you are encouraged to attend one of the following workshops:

Participants will receive an application packet with the new NTDF eligibility and funding applications (The old applications will not be accepted at the annual deadline).
Workshop topics include:
-- Purpose of the Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund
-- Eligibility requirements (new requirements)
-- Funding requirements (new requirements)
-- Documentation required for consideration
-- Tips on preparing successful applications
-- Contract compliance
-- Reimbursement process
Eligible activities must be cultural, social, ethnic, historic, educational or recreational. Eligible organizations must meet these qualifications:
-- Is a non-profit organization incorporated in the State of Missouri
-- Has its registered office in the city limits of Kansas City, Mo.
-- Has neighborhood, community, tourism, promotion and development priorities as part of its mission
-- Meets the City's requirements for contracting with non-municipal agencies
-- Can thoroughly demonstrate it meets the program's eligibility requirements.
The application deadline for the annual consideration cycle is Oct. 15. Applications considered at this time are for events that will take place during the 2012-13 fiscal year, which begins May 1, 2012 and ends April 30, 2013. Applications are accepted year-round, however, many organizations choose to apply by Oct. 15, as more money is available for this funding cycle. The Neighborhood and Community Services Department manages the Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund.
