City hosts Resume Preparation Seminar
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Office of Civic and Community Engagement, has partnered with DeVry University of Kansas City and the University of Missouri - Kansas City to host a Resume Preparation Seminar on Saturday, Feb. 5 from 10 a.m. to noon at Southeast Community Center, 4201 E. 63rd St.
Experts will assist seminar attendees with resume writing and conduct mock interviews. Interested participants must register for the seminar at www.kcmo.org/engagekcand remember to bring their resume to the seminar so sponsors may review and make recommendations.
The City's Office of Civic and Community Engagement has provided similar professional development workshop to more than 7,000 residents in the Kansas City area over the past six years. They have also teamed up with community partners to provide seminars at all high schools in the Kansas City, Mo. School District.
"The seminars are a great example of how we partner with academic institutions to provide educational support outside of the classroom," said Councilwoman Cindy Circo.
