Buckle Up

The Kansas City Missouri Police Department is joining other law enforcement agencies across the state and around the nation for a seat belt enforcement mobilization that runs from May 24 to June 6. Thanks to a grant from the Missouri Safety Center and MoDOT's Division of Highway Safety, Kansas City Police will devote more than 100 hours of extra traffic enforcement during this time. Though seat belts save lives, 1 in 4 Missouri residents still don't wear them, and 7 out of 10 people killed in traffic crashes in Missouri are unbuckled.
