Feb. 22nd: Women’s Personal Safety and Awareness Class

Community Partners; the Heart of America Indian Center located at 600 West 39th,
will be hosting a Women’s Personal Safety and Awareness Class presented by the Kansas City Missouri Police Department
on February 22nd from 6 to 8 pm.

Due to space, the class will be available to the first 25 who reserve a seat. The class consists of a 1.5 hour Power Point presentation covering all aspects of personal safety and awareness including the use of physical force and protection with weapons, a 15 minute hands on demonstration of escape techniques and a 15 min question and answer session.

I will be the instructor for the class and participants will not be physically engaged during this initial course. Safety Information packets will also be given to attendees.
