Sat 9/13 - Free oral health care screenings
On Saturday, Sept. 13, Teamsmile, a nonprofit organization founded by Dr. Bill Busch and supported by Henry Schein Dental (through the Company’s global social responsibility program Henry Schein Cares) will provide approximately 400 to 600 children with free oral health care screenings and treatments from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Pavilion at Arrowhead Stadium.
The daylong event on Saturday includes games, face painting, and the opportunity to meet players and cheerleaders from the Kansas City Chiefs. Elements of the TeamSmile Football Experience and Fun Zone will be set up in the Chiefs Pavilion for the kids to enjoy, and the Colgate T-shirt cannon will be shooting t-shirts to the children.
Teamsmile partners with major sports organizations, local dentists and staff who volunteer their time to provide quality high-tech dental care to underserved children who would not otherwise receive care.
Teamsmile worked with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Operation Breakthrough, Shriners Hospital for Children, Cornerstones of Care, Phoenix Family Housing, and El Centro to identify underserved families in the community who would benefit from free dental care. Since the program began in 2006, more than 2,000 children have received free care.

For the first time, the E4D CAD/CAM dental system will make crowns in a single visit for the children who need them. In addition, in an effort to promote the electronic dental record, Henry Schein’s Dentrix is donating rubber bracelets with USB drives containing all the dental X-rays and records for each child.
