Citywide prayer, August 27th
Citywide prayer gathering to relieve tension in city
In response to the violence and tension that exists within our city, clergy, congregations, civic groups, and like-minded individuals are joining in a City Wide Prayer Gathering. A CALL TO ONENESS -- KANSAS CITY is sponsoring this Prayer Gathering.
This prayer gathering event will be taking place on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Canaan Worship Center (located at 5333 East Bannister Road). Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and the group is expecting an overflow crowd.
A Call To Oneness – Kansas City seeks to reclaim respect for one another and the sanctity of life through the vehicle of reconciliation.
“Our goal is to revitalize our community, strengthen the family unit, and become one with God” says Pastor Darron LaMonte Edwards, Sr. When you live in one of the cities that leads the nations in homicides, you must begin and bathe a movement of this magnitude in prayer.
